With a track record of excellence and a commitment to delivering high-quality projects, our client is seeking a dynamic individual to join their team as an Estimator.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the project team to assess requirements and prepare accurate cost estimates for groundworks and surfacing projects.

  • Conduct site surveys and gather necessary data to support the estimation process.

  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements.

  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.

  • Prepare comprehensive and competitive tender submissions within designated deadlines.

  • Provide ongoing support to the project management team during the execution phase, offering insights into cost control and value engineering opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in estimating within the construction industry, preferably with a focus on groundworks and surfacing projects.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

  • Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as estimating software and Microsoft Office suite.

  • A proactive and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • While surfacing experience is desirable, candidates with a solid background in estimating within the construction industry will also be considered.
