Atrium Recruitment, on behalf of our esteemed client, a leading building services company, is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated AC Engineer to join their dynamic team in Lakenheath.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake statutory, mandatory, and planned preventative maintenance tasks for AC and refrigeration systems in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensure all relevant records and documentation are completed comprehensively.
- Carry out reactive repairs and callouts on AC systems, ensuring mission-critical assets are addressed in a timely manner and within contractual SLA timescales.
- Undertake minor installation works, such as refurbishment projects related to AC and refrigeration systems.
- Ensure all Health & Safety documentation (RAMS) is present before engaging in tasks.
- Work from drawings, specifications, and other documentation independently, without the need for direct supervision.
- Record all tasks against the appropriate assets via the PDA and ensure all documentation relating to maintenance and response works is completed, recorded, and distributed promptly.
- Notify management of any defects on equipment or systems.
- Mentor apprentices as and when required.
- Liaise with end users and members of the supply chain as needed.
Requirements:
- Essential:
- F-Gas certification.
- NVQ in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
- Proven experience in air conditioning and refrigeration engineering, ideally within MOD.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
