Quantity Surveyor
Salary: £70,000 DoE
Permanent, Full Time

We are actively seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor for a permanent position based near Diss working on Civils / Groundwork projects that cover East Anglia but primarily Norfolk, This is an excellent opportunity for an Surveyor to gain even more fantastic experience working on exciting and highly valued projects in East Anglia. This role comes with an excellent salary, benefits and performance related bonuses!


This role is for an experienced Surveyor with civils experience that can hit the ground running.

Our client:

  • Working with some huge contractors on some huge Civil Engineering projects across East Anglia;

  • Due to on-going and future pending contracts, this is an excellent opportunity to work with one of the most prominent contractors and get exposure to interesting and prestigious projects.

  • The client is looking for someone who is experienced enough to be left to your own devices to get the job done 

  • This position also has fantastic and very clear progression opportunities to Surveying Director in the future.

  • What you'll be doing:

  • The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for achieving the appropriate commercial result for the project through the provision of accurate financial reporting.

  • Reporting all wins or issues with the owner of the business

  • Build and maintain working relationships with the supply chain and clients.

  • Manage subcontractor supplier accounts, financially and contractually. Monitor subcontractors against the programme. Negotiate final accounts.

  • Complete measurements and valuations of work executed, ensuring that they meet the conditions of the contract (re-measure as required).

  • Ensure payments to Sub Contractors and Supplier are made to the terms and work in progress cash targets.

  • Ensure commercial compliance of current contracts, protecting the position of the company.

  • Report to Commercial Manager about the subcontract status.


What you'll need to be successful:

  • The ideal candidate will be degree-qualified.

  • Min 3 years experience in civil engineering projects.

  • Confident and comfortable working on projects up to £10m+ in value.
